They seem to have an active community just like Dodges (2.8.5) but most of their servers are all PvP (TDM) for more player-on-player action.

From what I have seen, they are pretty active like Dodges-Community (AA 2.8.5)
It is an older version of AA so some things are different but the game play is still similar.
Most of their servers are PvP (TDM) and I haven't found any coop servers yet.

If you would like to check it out:

1. Register/create an account on their forums/site FIRST. (-AS- members use your gamer name with tags!)
   
2. Go to: https://auth.aa25.org/register/ and create an account.  (-AS- members use your gamer name with tags!)
   
3. Download their installer/Game Client for Windows in their download menu option.
   
4. Unzip the 25Assist.zip to its own folder.
   
5. It is not an Installer, so move the files/folders to c:\~gaming\25Assist\ (Or a location of your choosing).
   
6. Move to that folder and create a shortcut for 25Assist.exe and put it on your Desktop.
   
7. Click/open the new shortcut, log in with the info you used to register at auth.aa25.org (You won't be able to log in until they activate your account.)
   
8. Once you have been authorized you will be able to login and install the AA 2.5 game.
   
9. Once the game is installed, give it a test run by joining an empty server and adjusting your settings and controls once you are in game. Exit.
   
10. Now, you can deploy to an active server and give it a try!
    

NOTE: AA 2.5 will be installed to: C:\Users\[your-windows-username]\AppData\Roaming\25Assist\armyops\
NOTE: If you have issues with PunkBuster kicking you when joining a server, you will need add an exception for it in your firewall.]]> [aao25.com])
