Hi All
REN have build a load of new maps using TXP which means that you have to download a TXP pack to access the map. If you dont then you will get a height error when joining REN server when TXP maps are running
The download is available from REN web site
http://clantoolz.com/rensquad/forum/sitenews.asp
I used the search engine to look up txp download from there. there are clear instructions which are dead simple to follow from there. Even I cud follow them
Below is a copy of the thread so u can see how easy it is

This forum is also intended for reporting and solving any technical issues related to downloading, installing and using the Terrain eXpansion Pack (TXP)...
Downloading TXP...:
Full version (17MB) - TerrainPack.exe
Installing TXP...:
Installing TXP for DF2 is straight forward. Simply run the TerrainPack.exe file you downloaded and answer a few questions in the process...:
- When it tells you to select Destination Directory, it will suggest the default directory for DF2. Unless you've got DF2 installed somewhere else, just click Next. Otherwise, select the directory where you've got DF2 installed, and click Next.
- When it asks you to Select Components, all 3 terrain groups should already be checked by default, so just click Next.
- When it tells you to select Additional Tasks, it will already have checked to create a backup of the Df2.pff file. That's the only file being changed by installing TXP, so it might be a good idea to have the installer create a backup of this file before the installation starts. If you agree, just click Next. Otherwise, uncheck and click Next.
That should be it, really. During the approx 8 years since TXP was released, I can't really remember anyone having problems related to installing TXP.
Using TXP...:
Unless you're a map maker, there isn't anything you need to think about in order to use TXP. TXP only contains new terrain files, so you will only use TXP if you're playing a map where the map maker selected to use a TXP terrain when creating the map.
In the future, the REN server will host maps created for TXP terrains. If you don't have TXP installed when joining servers hosting such maps, you'll get a height map error message. Thus, you should get TXP installed as soon as possible, in order to avoid such situations.
Please post a new topic in here if you've got any problems related to the above. Â
