Sometimes while I'm gaming I'll tap the touchpad by accident and undesirable things happen, like minimize my game, switch to another program/app, etc. and closes my game. I found a way to easily disable it before gaming or to only have it enabled when a mouse is not plugged in:
Now the touchpad will only work if you do not have a mouse connected!
Enjoy!
- To disable the touchpad on your laptop, Windows 11 has a setting under Settings > Bluetooth & devices that allows you to disable the touchpad.
- Turn it on/off to disable/enable the touchpad.
- Uncheck 'Leave touchpad on when a mouse is connected' so it will auto-enable if you disconnect your mouse.
Now the touchpad will only work if you do not have a mouse connected!
Enjoy!
